Last check-in
Each operator is counted once a session, for CHECK sent to PKTNET.
What counts
- Each operator is counted once a session, for a message to PKTNET that starts CHECK.
- The session of Wednesday 4 November is open from 00:00 UTC to 00:00 UTC on Thursday 5 November.
- A check-in outside those hours is kept for net control to add.
- Net control can add others by hand.
On the map
A check-in carries no position. A station is put on the map by its own position beacon.
That is the last one heard in the 48 hours before it checked in, or the first in the hour after.
A station with no beacon heard here is in the list and not on the map.
About this net
PKTNET is a message-based APRS Net run by PP5PK in Mafra, Santa Catarina, Brazil. It is activated on special dates, with no fixed schedule, and every participant receives a personal certificate of participation. How to take part: 1. Send an APRS message with the text CHECK to PKTNET, over the air (via any iGate) or over the internet (APRS-IS). 2. When the bot asks, reply with your email and the name you want printed on the certificate. 3. Receive your certificate as a PDF. Useful commands (send them to PKTNET): HELP - list the commands STATUS - Net name and number of check-ins LAST - last 5 check-ins TIME - time remaining ME - your check-ins RESEND - resend your certificate RESET - restart the process The Net is handled by an open-source bot that acknowledges every check-in and generates the certificates automatically: https://github.com/PP5PK/APRS_NET There is also PKTQSO, an open APRS chat room that runs 24/7: send JOIN to PKTQSO and everything you send there is relayed to all members.
